Reaches into mattress seams, bed frames and wall voids a spray cannot. Kills every stage, eggs included.
Keeps working for weeks after we leave, so anything that survives or arrives later does not restart the problem.
Bed bugs die at 118°F held about 90 minutes; 122°F kills almost instantly. We hold lethal temperature throughout the home.
You get the prep list and an arrival window. Anything you are unsure about, we answer on the phone first.
Quoted over the phone before anything is booked, so there is no site visit and no surprise on the day.
A full heat cycle takes the whole home to lethal temperature, then a residual product goes down per its label.
Eight to eleven hours on site, depending on the size of the property and how much is in it.
We walk you through what we found and what to watch for, and the home is yours again the same day.
If bed bugs come back inside sixty days we return and treat again at no cost.
Why choose us
We kill bed bugs. Only bed bugs. One method, done right, in a single visit — heat and a residual product together, on every job we run.
Unmarked vehicles and personnel
No logos, and no mention of bed bugs on trucks, equipment or uniforms. Neighbours see a van; they do not see why it is there.
Total peace of mind
Sixty days of cover on every job. Should bed bugs survive the treatment, which is rare, we come back out and eliminate the problem for good at no cost.
No other pests, ever
One method, done right, in a single visit. It is the only approach we sell, which is the reason we are good at it.
Quoted as bed bug experts
Reporters do not find us in a directory; they come looking for someone who does this all day. CNN introduces Allan as the operations expert at Bed Bug Exterminator, and he has been quoted by name in thirty articles across fifteen national outlets.
Community-focused service
Seven offices across Florida and Maryland, each with its own locally staffed crew. The office that quotes your job is the one that turns up to it.
Affordable, high-quality heat solution
Priced by the size of the home rather than by the room, and quoted over the phone before anything is booked. No site visit, and no per-room upcharges.
Experienced, dedicated team
As Allan puts it: once we take on your project, your bed bug problem becomes my bed bug problem. If it turns out not to be bed bugs, we say so and cancel the contract. That has happened.
The single best solution — Heat Assault
Heat Assault reaches kill-zone temperature throughout the house and keeps climbing, which is what takes out the eggs as well as the adults. Paired with a residual spray on every job.

Heat only works if the whole structure gets past lethal temperature and stays there. That is a question of output, and output is a number.

Request a commercial quoteEvery question below was asked by a real caller in Tampa, and every answer is what one of our crew said back on the phone, word for word. We give the caller's first name, or their postcode where we do not have one, and never their surname, address or phone number.
I well, that's that's difficult because if you if there are bedbugs in the home, then if you leave, you could be potentially transporting bedbugs to some other location because they're expert hitchhikers and they crawl into your clothes.
Answered by Mike on a call,
Our main location is in St. Petersburg, right across the bay. And then we have another location in Winter Garden. So we do all of Tampa Bay. We do everything but the Keys and the Panhandle. We're all over the place. Yeah. So we have technicians that go out all over. So, and we are more than happy to help you. So, Basil, my name is Dori.
Answered by Dori on a call,
As I said, we start at 8 a.m. in the morning, and we promise to have everybody back in the house no later than 8 p.m.
Answered by Dori on a call,
This is our own crew, on recorded calls about jobs in Tampa and nearby. Word for word. Each one says who was talking and when.
We need all people, all pets out of the home for the day because we raise that temperature up very, very quickly to 140 degrees and we hold it there all day. And that way that penetrates everything. It can save your furniture and your mattresses so you don't have to go throwing anything out and replacing things so it saves money in that respect.
Is, is contact a company that does the electric heat, they'll call it electric or thermal heat. Those are electric heaters that they carry up into your apartment.
Once we're finished treating a property, we just give you the certified document that indicates that we've treated it and it's bed bug free. At that point, it's a conversation between you and your tenant.
The 60-day guarantee. Yeah, and that if there is a small underlying problem that we didn't get or something was brought back into the house, that usually nips it right in the bud.
You also want to, once you have all the sheets and blankets off, put them in a hot water wash, dry them normally, and then put them in another high heat dryer for 40 minutes. If there's any bedbugs or eggs on them, it will kill them, okay?
What you'd have to do is... She would need to be gone. So we come in, first we spray, then we heat it up.
That, for one, gives bedbugs more places to hide, okay? It also blocks the treatment. So those areas can't be treated as fully as they need to be.
If the bed bug follows the rules, because, you know, it's said that bed bugs bite in a cluster of three. They call it breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's usually in a zigzag pattern or a straight line pattern. That actually doesn't happen often because while they are biting people, people tend to move while they're sleeping.
Great question. So the process. You can expect it to take around 10 to 12 hours. We start around 8 o'clock in the morning, and we get the temperature of the house, the condo, up to about 140 degrees, and we leave it there for about five or six hours. Generally speaking, when the technicians leave, they would call or text you. It would be probably, you know, 3, 4, 5 o'clock in the afternoon, and what they'll usually say is, hey, we're finishing up, we're breaking our equipment.
What we do is ask the customer, okay, to stay vigilant. Basically, no news is good news, okay? We stay busy with our all-day treatment.
I, I, this price is really competitive, so I don't think you're going to, but if you do let us know, maybe there's somebody new around that that's trying to, but there's only a couple people that even have heat assault and yeah,
To cancel payment plan. Okay, all right, so I do appreciate your patience in this matter. I am refunding that amount right now. Hopefully it won't even come out of your account. When you are ready to get your bed bugs taken care of, please give us a call. We're more than happy to take care of it.
Good morning, my name is John with Bed Bug Exterminator. We just missed the call from you. I was calling to see what we can do for you.
With that spray, it's a proprietary blend of pesticide and growth inhibitor. It lasts for well over a month. So with such a small confined space, if a bed bug were to be brought back in while that spray is still nice and strong, if it crosses that pesticide barrier, it gets the growth inhibitor on it. And it immediately starts shutting that bed bug down. It messes with their DNA. It makes it to where they cannot feed. And if they can't feed, they can't breed.
I know it is tough because they are so small. So the adult bedbugs, the male and female, even though they're different shape, are about the size of an apple seed. Okay.
Are homes that are cluttered and or cluttered and infested. Okay, so depending on how long they've dealt with it, if they tried to take care of it on their own with sprays, with powders, that makes the situation worse.
They, you might not feel it because they have a little numbing agent deal. And also some people never even show a red mark, even though we've had like a couple in bed together and one is covered in bites and the other one's nothing.
They need to be out. They need to give us about 10 or 11 hours. And when they return, they can go back to their life as usual. The only thing I'll ask you is don't mop the perimeter of your unit for like 30 days.
What we, something like that, you would, you know, either tell him a code or give him some sort of way to get in a key or meet him there and then tell him how you want him to lock it up when he leaves. He'll text you that it's done and you could, you don't have to do anything.
It could even be mites that are... sometimes even harder to see than bed bug nymphs because they are more translucent. So what I'm going to suggest you do is, for one, get me pictures of any bites. I'm going to send you a quick text. You can send pictures here. If I could spell today, I guess I can't spell today. Okay, so it took me three times to type that really easy little sentence to you. Okay, so text sent.

Older housing stock means more cracks and crevices for bed bugs to harbour in. Rentals turn over faster than owner-occupied homes, and turnover is how an infestation arrives.
Bed bug heat treatment in Tampa starts at an $1,800 minimum and is priced by the size of your home, so most homes run somewhere between about $1,800 and $2,800. There are no per-room upcharges and no surprises, and we confirm your exact price over the phone before any work begins. Our bed bug treatment cost page has the full breakdown.
The reliable way to kill bed bugs at every life stage, including the eggs that store-bought sprays tend to miss, is our combination treatment. We pair Heat Assault thermal heat, which kills the bugs on contact, with a residual spray that keeps working for weeks afterward to catch anything that survives. You can see the temperatures that kill bed bugs in full.
While heat treatment will kill off bed bugs of all shapes and sizes, they are hardy creatures that can shrug off the heat of an ordinary hot day. Therefore, do not rely upon the warmth of a closed-up room: you need something that takes the heating level right up, which is what our professional Heat Assault equipment does.
Not at all. Even spotless, five-star hotels and brand-new homes can suffer from bed bugs. If they are brought in from another location, bed bugs will find a place to live in almost any Tampa property, clean or not.
More common than most people would guess. Tampa is home to around 393,000 residents, and with roughly 50% of homes renter-occupied across Hillsborough County, there are plenty of multi-unit buildings where bed bugs can spread from one home to the next. Tampa also lands among the Top 50 cities on Orkin's national bed bug list.
Bed bugs are not a sign that a home is dirty. Most of the time they arrive by hitching a ride, whether on luggage, on secondhand furniture, or in a guest's bag, or they slip in through cracks and gaps from one unit to the next. Even spotless homes and brand-new builds around Hillsborough County can end up with them. There is more in our comprehensive guide.
They will not. The bed bug is an elusive creature that can easily move from one part of your home to the next and never stay in one place, and it can wait months between meals. Left alone, it simply has the time to spread to other rooms and, in an apartment, to the units next door.
The problem with bed bugs is that they are some of the hardiest pests around. They can survive in high heat and humid conditions, which is why heat has to be held for as long as it is. They move through the smallest cracks and crevices and stick easily to furniture, luggage, and clothing. Given they are so small, we do not notice them until they are legion.
If you want to get rid of bed bugs in Tampa, you must pay close attention to where they appear. In a household, they could have been brought in by a visitor, by yourself when staying elsewhere, or made their way in through a connected property.
Bed bugs get around with consummate ease and breed at a dizzying rate, so a small collection can soon become an infestation occupying many or all of your rooms. For business owners, a guest could have brought them in, or a delivery shipment, or new furniture.
We often assume that bed bugs only stick to beds or old, smelly furniture. Bed bugs do not care whether furniture, bedding, or properties are clean or dirty. They are here for one thing only — blood. They are just as easily found in an immaculate five-star hotel as in an old, second-hand bed.
