Every question below was asked by a real caller on a recorded call, 3 of them from Brandon and the area we cover from here, and every answer is what one of our crew said back on the phone, word for word. We give the caller's first name, or their postcode where we do not have one, and never their surname, address or phone number.
I think it's too early to tell. It could be something else. Have him sleep in that other room for the next few nights. Let's see what happens.
Answered by Dori on a call,
I just sent you the text message and you can send it to this number. Yeah.
Answered by Dori on a call,
Absolutely. They are hitchhikers. They will cling onto clothing, socks, shoes, bags, diaper bags.
Answered by Dori on a call,
The treatment is going to be about six hours because we need to hold that temperature at 140 degrees. On the day that we come out, we ask that you're out of the home for about 10 hours because we need to make sure that that spray is dry. And we also need to make sure that we can get you back in at a reasonable time so that you can start cooling the home back down.
Answered on a call,
Bed bugs are different than mites. Our treatment of barely pretty much anything that crawls in Florida, but we only guarantee for bed bugs.
Answered by Dori on a call,
They usually can live about a month with no food. But, you know, in your situation with the infestation that you had, I wouldn't take any chances. I would definitely, I can't stress this enough, wash and dry the laundry and the linens that you put outside.
Answered by Mike on a call,
He will stay there all day. He will be out in his truck, and he will go in periodically to check temperatures.
Answered by Julie on a call,
I believe they are, and Victor would be your technician, so he will be able to just point that out to him, and

Then we also come in with our heat assault trailer. It's a commercial piece of equipment. It's on a trailer. It's got a generator on board, lots of other technology and stuff. And so it pushes out about 600,000 BTUs of heat into the apartment or the house.
Now we have a 60-day warranty that goes with that with our one-day-and-done treatment. So if we do have to come back out during that 60 days, that's on us. There's no additional charge for you. Okay.
That's true. And if you found the person that'll come in and do one room, that's probably the best person to come in and inspect for you. Because you do the whole home only. And our inspections are $200. If you're found positive for bed bugs, that $200 goes towards a whole home treatment.
Has been eggs die off at 122 degrees so it has to get a little hotter than that Right. So there's a good chance that the stuff on the outside, you know, that's closest to the actual outside of the garbage bag gets there. But you have to think, did that heat penetrate that large mass of clothing? And that's hard to do. That's why we don't want any clothing laying around. We want it all hung up in the closets and folded up in the dressers.
My goodness. Well, have you reached out to your landlord? Depending on your landlord and depending on your lease, sometimes they will pay for the heat treatment. Other times landlords will pay for it up front and then break it up into really small payments that aren't just added to your rent. And then there are other landlords that say, sorry, you're on your own, you know, so definitely worth.
Do this all the time, so I'll leave them a note to lift the mattress up so that way, you know, we're guaranteed to have that heat destroy any bedbugs that may be inside the frame, okay?
Just pay 60. Beyond that, we don't want people bringing them back in and we just keep eternally treating and never getting rid of them because they keep.
To do is her handbag, her purse, leave it in the vehicle locked up. You don't want to bring that inside. Bring as little as she needs to bring inside. Spray her skin that's showing, her shoes, her clothing, especially the backside, the legs.
It is pretty cool. So that at around 122 degrees, it's a scientific fact, man, that the exoskeletons on these bugs are going to collapse, the babies, they're going to die, the adults, but more importantly, the eggs are going to die.
Other things like makeup or medications, those would be best if you want to put those in the refrigerator as well. Because it's heat insulated, so it won't have any problem in the refrigerator there.
You go um so um so you know because if you have one single adult female if one of them crawled into your bag wherever you went for a couple of days before that or whatever she would only be laying five eggs a day every single day those five eggs would develop within 14 days, hatch and be coming out and finding you already.
About $1,500, okay. $1,500 square foot, and what we do, it is an all-day treatment. If I had a technician, or me, I should say, if we have a technician already down south, we start at 8 a.m. in the morning. We need all people, all pets out of the home all day. We promise to have you back no later than 8 p.m. at night.
You may be lucky enough to take care of the problem in this instance by yourself. What I don't suggest is getting any bed bug bombs or sprays because that can spread your issue.
When they come out because you're sedentary and you're staying in the same place and they'll come out of wherever they live and they're hiding and they'll bite and then they kind of go back away pretty quickly a lot of times you don't even see them they're not hanging out running around the house usually but over time they multiply so fast So over time, if they didn't get them all the first go, you've probably just built them back up again.
The way that the payment plan works is that you will pay, let's just say the treatment is $2,000. This is just a number I'm throwing out there, an even number to work with. Let's just say that the treatment is $2,000. You have You have to pay half of that up front. So you pay $1,000 up front, and then the remaining balance we can bill you for equal payment. So it would be like four equal payments of $250.
That would be great. That okay would be great. Okay, so basically we ask that there are certain things that are moved out of the heat treatment area, but what we will do is we will consider it more like an Airbnb. A lot of the times Airbnb owners are out of the state. Aerosol cans, oxygen tanks, things like that need to be moved out for the day of treatment and then brought back in. So I'll let our technician know.
It's not how it doesn't reflect how clean anyone keeps their home. That's a myth. Bedbugs will, you know, hitchhike home with the germaphobe and be happy to set up in a really, really clean house.
All people, all pets need to be out. We want to make sure that, you know, you have a home to come home to and you have pets to come home to.
We don't want to take your money unless you truly need it, okay? That's why I want to help you determine what the actual problem is and if it is bat or swallow bugs. The landlord needs to know so he can come out and have somebody come up there, remove the bats, remove the bird, seal those areas, and then take care of that for you, okay?
Absolutely. Okay. If you can get your camera up as close as possible and get me a clear close-up shot of those little white things, does it look oval? Do they look oval?

The reliable way to kill bed bugs at every life stage, including the eggs that store-bought sprays tend to miss, is our combination treatment. We pair Heat Assault thermal heat, which kills the bugs on contact, with a residual spray that keeps working for weeks afterward to catch anything that survives. You can see the temperatures that kill bed bugs in full.
While heat treatment will kill off bed bugs of all shapes and sizes, they are hardy creatures that can shrug off the heat of an ordinary hot day. Therefore, do not rely upon the warmth of a closed-up room: you need something that takes the heating level right up, which is what our professional Heat Assault equipment does.
No. This is the most common myth we hear. Bed bugs are drawn to warmth and the carbon dioxide we breathe out, not to dirt, so a spotless home is no guarantee against them. A tidy home simply has fewer places for them to hide.
More common than most people would guess. Brandon is home to around 120,000 residents, and with roughly 44% of homes renter-occupied across Hillsborough County, there are plenty of multi-unit buildings where bed bugs can spread from one home to the next.
They could have arrived by someone bringing them into your Brandon home unknowingly, or through cracks and gaps from one property to the next. What draws them in is body heat and the carbon dioxide we breathe out, and not clutter, though clutter does give them more places to hide. Our bed bug FAQ covers more.
Unfortunately, no. If you have tried the usual DIY treatments, you are likely only killing a small handful of the adult populace, leaving the younglings to take their place. The infestation keeps recovering until it is treated properly at every life stage.
