Every question below was asked by a real caller on a recorded call, and every answer is what one of our crew said back on the phone, word for word. We give the caller's first name, or their postcode where we do not have one, and never their surname, address or phone number.
What he did, what they always do, is they spray the perimeter of every single room, every single closet, they spray very carefully and strategically underneath and inside all of your furniture.
Answered by Dori on a call,
Not that I know. Just don't wipe down the baseboards, windowsills, or door jams. Your AC will be off when you get home, so you'll want to turn that back on. You'll want to plug back in your sensitive electronics. Okay.
Answered by Dori on a call,
I can kind of hold it for you for a bit. What we do, as I said, when we take someone on the calendar, right, we take the $200 deposit.
Answered by Dori on a call,
They can. What happens, especially if you are using sprays to try and stop the problem. Um, bedbugs aren't all out at the same time. They hide and so they want to feed and they have a three to five day feeding cycle. So if you had one bedbug in your home and you were watching him, you would see him come out one time to feed and then he'd disappear for three to five days and then come back out. So what happens? is when you spray, you may kill a few of them that are out looking for food, but the other ones are still in hiding and that spray doesn't get to them.
Answered by Dori on a call,
We're Bed Bug Exterminator.
Answered by Mike on a call,
Absolutely. And then let me do this. Let's get you taken out of the thumbtack.
Answered by Dori on a call,
This is our own crew, on recorded calls about jobs in Edgewater and nearby. Word for word. Each one says who was talking and when.
Longer getting a free treatment. No, you're no longer getting a free treatment. When we had you on the schedule, our owner took the time out of his busy day to go treat you and you were in bed. You didn't get treated.
It's a 60-day warranty, so you would have at least, let's see, I want to go back and look at this when we did your treatments. It looks like we did it on July the 8th.
It's a one-day-and-done guaranteed treatment. Now, I'm just going to give you a bunch of free advice. If you find a heat company that can bring a propane heater upstairs to your room, that's your best bet. But I don't know what they're going to charge you. It's going to be in the $2,000 to $2,500 range.
It's a small room. What I would say is if you wanted to go the spray treatment route, I would suggest at the very least you spray the adjoining units as well because odds are they're hiding in a wall. And if they're hiding in a wall and you spray treat the primary room, what's going to happen is they're going to go to the adjoining rooms.
I had know she was having some technical issues, so I wanted to reach back. back out to you. Okay, so the treatment, the heat treatment was on the 17th. Now you've been seeing a lot of dead bed bugs and cleaning those up, right?
I'll check the counters for you. That would be $1,600 up front, so that would be the $200 deposit and then $1,400 on the day of treatment and then the other $1,600 we would divide up into equal monthly payments for six or eight monthly payments, whatever works for you. The Okay.
Spray and putting powder down in your home will just chase those bed bugs into other rooms. It'll kill a few, but the other ones will move. Okay. So take care of yourself. Keep an eye out. And if you need us in the past, just call us. Okay.
Now, bed bugs don't want to feed on animals, but if there's no person around or if the person is on different types of medication that really mess with their blood, if there's pets around, those bed bugs will feed off the pets. That bugs might be more happy to feed off your cat than you.
Then, you know, vacuum as much as you want. You have a 60-day guarantee. So if you happen to come across something alive, a bed bug that's alive, what I would like you to do. is capture it, put it in a Ziploc baggie nine times out of ten, actually more than nine times, about nine and a half times out of ten. It is just one that is slowly dying. It just doesn't want to give up the ghost, okay?
Just to overpower even some more. And that's about as high as we can go without things getting too, you know, it's about as high as we should be putting it. Any higher than that, then you start walking in a territory where there's more preparation work.
Those I would say if you can pull your vacuum cleaner out onto the back porch and all the hard items, you just vacuum those really, really, really, really well. And then bring them inside. But every time you turn off the vacuum cleaner, I would immediately throw that vacuum dirt into an outdoor trash can, okay?
That's right. That's the one where they tinted your bed and tinted your chair. targeted tenting is what they call it. I looked into that. Targeted tenting. What they need, and I'm really surprised that that company with the targeted tenting doesn't realize that bed bugs can be hiding behind baseboards and in wall outlets. They need to do the heat treatment for the whole unit.
I'm thinking about if, I mean. These guys aren't going to guarantee it no matter what because they can't guarantee it because it doesn't kill the eggs. It's basically just this exercise in constantly respraying. I mean, I can, if you really just want it sprayed, you know, we can try to do three sets of spray treatments and maybe we will get lucky and it'll work or maybe we do four or five and get there eventually. The one thing is that, you know, you have these people constantly having to be out of there.
What? And there are companies that call themselves bed bug companies that will just come out and spray. And I'm sorry, even if we came out and sprayed just sprayed, we would not kill all of them. You know, we'll admit that we believe in transparency. The spray is only going to kill the ones that are on the surface at that time. And not all bed bugs are all on the surface at the same time. They have a three to five day feeding cycle.
All right. If you want to forward those pictures to me, I can confirm whether it's bed bug or not free of charge over the phone.
If you have any makeup or medications, we ask that you put those in the refrigerator or if you can't put the makeup in the refrigerator, then, you know, maybe put that in your purse and take it with you.
Which is a good thing. That's the best kind of bed bug is a dead bed bug. So, and as you move stuff around because they die with the heat treatment, they die where they are. So as you move stuff around, don't freak out. It's like a few days later after you vacuumed a couple of times that you are automatically seeing another dead bed bug or two because they're really lightweight.
About 1200 square feet. Okay, what we do is a one day and done treatment. We start if we have a technician already in your area. We start at 8am. If they have to drive in a little bit, which Don't worry, we don't, you know, upcharge for that or anything because we have these guys going all over Florida. They start at 9 or 10 a.m. depending on where they are. I would believe it would probably be like an 8 or a 9 a.m.
That's correct. You would not have to get a hotel. You can go back in. Now it still will be a little warm because there in part of that 10 to 12 hour process is a. It's a two-hour cool-down period just because it's going to be 140 degrees in that sucker. So still be a little warm, but you can open the windows and doors, turn on the AC, and it will cool off pretty quickly for you.
I always say it's like getting pooped on by a bird. It's just, you know, bad luck. But I did send you over my contact details. I'll put you on our tickle list. But my name's John, and I'll be happy to answer any other questions for you.

Community-focused service
Seven offices across Florida and Maryland, each with its own locally staffed crew. The office that quotes your job is the one that turns up to it.

As Allan puts it: once we take on your project, your bed bug problem becomes my bed bug problem. If it turns out not to be bed bugs, we say so and cancel the contract. That has happened.

Over the years, we have developed a clear process and plan that works no matter the scale of infestation. As time has passed and our team has worked together more, we have focused on delivering treatment and solutions for bed bugs that are proven to work. To do this, we follow a strict five-step process that helps us to prepare any property in Edgewater and beyond for the removal of bed bugs:
This five-step process means that we can, more often than not, eradicate all bed bugs present in your building in one visit. Instead of a course of return trips, you get a solution that is covered for a minimum of sixty days. Plan on the crew being with you for most of a working day: a full heat cycle plus the spray usually runs somewhere between eight and eleven hours, depending on the size of the property and how much is in it.
Heat only works if the whole structure gets past lethal temperature and stays there. That is a question of output, and output is a number.
| Heat only | Chemical | Combination | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kills eggs | Yes | Often misses | Yes |
| Residual protection | None | A few weeks | Weeks |
| Reaches hidden voids | Bugs flee deeper | Limited | Yes |
| Visits needed | 1 (with gaps) | 2–4 | Usually 1 |
| Guaranteed | — | — | Yes |
Bed bugs die at 118°F held around 90 minutes, and 122°F kills almost instantly. We hold lethal temperature throughout the home.

Yes. Edgewater is inside our service area, worked out of our Winter Garden office, about a 93-minute drive away. We treat homes and businesses there, and the treatment is the same combination of Heat Assault thermal heat and a residual spray we run everywhere else.
Same-week appointments are usual. Because Edgewater sits roughly 93 minutes from our Winter Garden office, a crew can normally be with you within a few days of the call, and the whole job is one visit rather than a course of return trips.
Treatment starts at an $1,800 minimum and is priced by the size of the home, with most homes landing between about $1,800 and $2,800. There are no per-room upcharges. We give you the exact number over the phone before anything is booked.
Almost never. Furniture is treated where it stands: heat reaches inside mattresses, frames and upholstery where a spray cannot, so it does not need to be discarded or replaced. We will tell you plainly if a piece is genuinely beyond saving.
