One-Day Bed Bug Treatment in Wedgefield

We would go in and do an inspection. We would inspect in and around the beds. We would inspect in and around living room furniture, things like that.

It won't work to spray one room or to heat one room. It won't work. They will go into the other room. They get agitated when they start to heat up and they start running around and spray too. They'll just avoid the room with the spray and they'll go somewhere else. And then after the spray wears off, they'll just come right back in.

I think when we last talked, you were looking at, I think you said it was probably going to be a few weeks before we could actually get out there and do anything in terms of doing the heat treatments.

That is That's the majority of the prep work that goes into it. So like I said, if your apartment is relatively tidy and clean already, then most of the preparation work is already done for you.

The equipment we use is proprietary. Some people use electric heaters and fans, which the problem with those is that they really don't create enough heat. What we have is 600,000 BTUs, and it's specifically built just to kill bedbugs.

We price by square footage because we treat the whole home, being that bedbugs are hitchhikers and that's how they get into people's homes. There's a very high probability that they hitchhiked into other areas of people's homes. They just haven't realized it yet.

Can avoid the gym for the next couple of days and make sure you use that high heat dryer. Do not go out and get bug sprays of any kind or bombs or powders. I don't know about other bugs, but with bed bugs, it tends to spread the problem into other rooms because it will only kill the ones that are on the surface. The other ones that are hiding will go, oh, I sense that danger and they'll move away from it. Okay.

Just so you know, sir, just one thing with some of these other companies, they only really offer the spray and they might spray your home maybe.

If you have 15 bites one day in those little like three bite clusters, there's a good chance that you have five that are on the same three to five day feeding cycle. And then you might not get bit for three to five days. But that's good because that could mean that there's just five.

There is some prep work when it comes to doing the heat treatment, but

The heat assault, we bring that to your home. Nothing that we do says bed bugs anywhere. So like it's completely discreet. No one has any idea what's going on.

That we treat everything you own, but then we also need to make sure that we are able to not have clutter in the home so we can effectively treat everything you own. So with the bins. Um, I would say pull them out of the closet. Don't put them in the center of the floor because our heat equipment will be going more in the center of the floor. So if you think keep everything a few inches away from the baseboards so the technicians can spray and then don't put anything directly in the center of the floor, we should be good.

Is leave as much as you can behind. You want to take a laptop, you know, take your wallet out of your pocketbook maybe, stuff your lipstick in your pocket, you know, stuff like that. Those are good ideas to leave stuff in the treatment area. And then we'll treat all their stuff there at the same time so that they don't take one home when they do leave.

If you have them, you probably have not gotten rid of them yourself, but you may have kept them at bay with some of your deep cleaning. Sometimes that helps it for a little bit, and then they continue to breed wherever it is they're laying eggs.

They'll typically aggregate somewhere during the day, but not always. I mean, bed bug behavior is very unusual because we can't say that there's one specific behavior that they have that they exhibit all the time because that's just not true. Sometimes you can see them during the day. You can, you know, be sitting on a recliner and they'll...

To say. Yeah, they're heavy or plastic and they're fine to say. Now vinyl records, even a little bit of warpage, you know, will change the sound. So those need to be taken out as well as VHS tapes and cassette tapes if there's something you want to save.

I don't know. I'm not a technician. I don't know what they do when they go there. I mean, I know they do check, but I don't know exactly what they check.

How do you, let me ask you this question. Do you have your, like your lease agreement? Sometimes in the lease agreement, it'll stipulate who's responsible for the pest control and bed bugs particularly, it may be the responsibility of the property owner to take, you know, to handle that.
