What could happen and and i know that bed bugs are bad in europe right now but bed bugs are just as bad in the united states right now i mean think about it all we do are bed bugs and we stay busy seven days a week for the last five years our sister company up in michigan for the last 10 years um and and that's why we started um with bed bug extermination because our sister company in Michigan the owner was a general pest control and bed bugs were almost eradicated like 30 years ago in the United States everybody's like you know almost done and then because of international travel couch surfing you know hotels Airbnbs they started seeing a major resurgence of bedbugs about 12 to 15 years ago so our sister company's owner Alan said okay we need bedbug experts in the field so 10 years ago he changed from general pest control to specifically bedbugs and then because it was in the Midwest first And then when it started spreading into the United States, it's like, okay, we need to have other locations as well because too

That's true. If you can open up the plastic bag and get your cell phone in there and get a good, clear, close-up picture, that would be helpful. For us to do... Our one day and done treatment, it is $1,900 for us to do it. We start about 9 a.m. in the morning. We need all people, all pets out of the home. We say we have everybody back in no later than 8 p.m. It's usually about dinner time that we can get you in or back home, I should say.

I understand you just worry about you and your mom leaving the house bed bug free today, okay? So make sure all those clothings are run through a high heat dryer first. If you have to put them in bags, make sure they're brand new bags. They haven't been used by anything.
Usually the heat treatment that we offer along with the pesticide treatment, we combine them together. That treatment will generally fall somewhere between $1,600 and $2,400.
This way we want to make sure that you prep properly so you don't accidentally reinfest yourself. It's so easy to do. And a lot of our customers bless their hearts, they try and they forget to run clothes through the high heat dryer for 40 minutes or, you know, do all that and then let their children leave with the book bag that hasn't been checked.
Chase was right there at the truck, so we can actually do an inspection around 7 p.m. today. Now, I do want to let you know it could be a little earlier because as his day progresses, he'll know when he's wrapping up the heat treatment. So it could be closer to 630, you know, if I don't think he's doing a huge house, so it shouldn't be any later than seven.
We bring is unmarked, and so guests or other apartment dwellers would probably just think that you're just having carpets cleaned or something, so that's not a big deal.
We would really have to make sure about that. So for our one-day-and-done treatment, what we do is we arrive at your home in an unmarked truck and an unmarked trailer. Now, you will see our BBE logo, but it doesn't say Bed Bug anywhere, okay? You'll see our logo, you'll see our license number and our phone number. We have to have those legally on our vehicles. and our trailers. But we're very discreet. Our shirts say BBE as well.
They can travel through walls, especially if there's a shared bedroom wall or a shared living room wall where people hang out a lot. Bed bugs will travel through the walls to get to someone else. Okay.
Unless they have a way to get inside the mattress, it's likely that they're not going to be in the mattress. They'll typically like to hide in little crevices.

We go to 140 degrees, and this is enough to We raise the temperature very, very quickly in your home. We hold the temperature there all day. So we start about 8, 9 a.m. in the morning. We promise to have you back by 8 p.m. at night. It's usually about dinner time when we get you home, but it is an all-day process. And that penetrates everything.
Absolutely, yeah, so what you want to look for is quality. So when you're talking heat treatment, you want to know if it's electric heaters. propane heat or the heat assault system. I believe there's one other company that uses the heat assault system like we do in Florida, but everybody else who use electric heaters, which they'll call thermal heat or thermal remediation or the propane. I would avoid the propane, Shelly. Propane is known for causing floor damage because those propane heaters get really, really hot, okay?
Typically, typically we. prefer that most of the linens are kind of like either hung up and stuff and the reason is is just because a big pile of linens will restrict airflow usually so if it's like a really really big bin or something we'll tell people to kind of launder that and kind of put it in a garbage bag and tie it up make sure it's all clean and everything but typically like shoes and stuff like that boxes stuff Things like that are fine just because it's hot enough to where that heat will kind of get through that stuff. The only time we ever have issues is usually linens.
It seems unlikely you know we we prefer to do the whole house if possible Um, you know, but we will do apartments. So sometimes we don't have to do the whole apartment building. We'll just do one apartment and that seems to be fine.
At least seven days. That's legally, that's so, because some people, I mean, our spray is non-harmful to people, pets, and plants, but there are other companies that use spray that is very harmful. So that's why that law was made. So it's for your protection. So people don't come in every single day or every couple of days spraying and making you sick. You sick. You don't need that. So legally, we have to wait seven days from the time that we spray.

I understand completely. I'll tell you, I'm in this industry. I came from a nursing background and never even thought about bed bugs before this. And I'll tell you this, my husband was exposed at work and I still check my mattress religiously because he works with seniors at an apartment home.
