Local record

Our record in Highland

Why we run both, on every job

Heat

Reaches into mattress seams, bed frames and wall voids a spray cannot. Kills every stage, eggs included.

Residual

Keeps working for weeks after we leave, so anything that survives or arrives later does not restart the problem.

One visit

Bed bugs die at 118°F held about 90 minutes; 122°F kills almost instantly. We hold lethal temperature throughout the home.

Asked on a call from Highland

April 2026

Every question below was asked by a real caller on a recorded call, and every answer is what one of our crew said back on the phone, word for word. We give the caller's first name, or their postcode where we do not have one, and never their surname, address or phone number.

When you do it, are you using a truck?

What we do is we have a piece of commercial equipment. It is made in Canada specifically built to do heat treatments for bedbugs. So it's an over $100,000 piece of equipment and it's a trailer that we tow behind our truck. And then we basically will just kind of back it into your driveway and then we put our heaters and fans. It's all enclosed. So we'll put our heaters and fans inside the house.

Answered by Chase on a call,

I was wondering if you say it was going to show up at 10, right?

Let me check the calendar because I believe we did put him in 10 a.m. and it should be approximately 9.30 there now. Let's take a look here.

Answered by Mike on a call,

Is there anything I can do in the meantime?

They can be unless it's a newer infestation and to be honest the over-the-counter pesticides actually push them into uncommon places making them harder to eradicate they'll push them into the walls and outlets which you want to try to avoid. You can wash your linens and then spray yourself with deep spray before you go to bed to help deter them from biting but like even pesticides alone they don't kill the eggs or larvae of bed bugs.

Answered on a call,

You're saying just the bladder has to be taken out?

There is. If it is a sleep number bed, there is a bladder in it, which they also call an air cushion.

Answered by Dori on a call,

When I asked Dory if they get on your scalp and she said, no, really your arms.

You asked the door for what? I'm sorry, I was trying to understand what you were saying.

Answered on a call,

Do not tell Tiffany.

Anything that happens in your estate can get out of those limits.

Answered on a call,

In our own words

20 from recorded calls

This is our own crew, on recorded calls about jobs in Highland and nearby. Word for word. Each one says who was talking and when.

Any of your clothes, any of your bedding, just use that high heat dryer as much as you can, and then take a look around before you vacuum. Take a look around your bed, your pillow.

Dori

What he will do with the heat assault system, he runs hoses from the trailer into the home, he attaches heat assault fans on the ends of the hoses and places them strategically throughout the whole home and then very quickly raises the temperature to 140 degrees and holds it there for a few hours. So normally we start like at 8 a.m. in the morning if we have a technician in your area if there's no drive time.

Dori

If he was staying in the trailer a couple of nights, two, three, four nights or whatever in between going in and out of town. he would have gotten bit. They would have said, we are starving. We're going to find you. We're going to bite you.

Dori

If you have space to put them, if not, what you could do is once, you know, once we're getting closer to treatment, the items that are on your dining room table, your clothes, can go back in your dresser so some of those linens can go on the dining room table. And that way you know everything's getting a really good thorough heat treatment.

Dori

More steam, no more sprays, no powders, just vacuum like it's your new cardio program can vacuum slowly, vacuum thoroughly, and then immediately throw your vacuum dirt out into an outdoor trash can. Okay. And then, you know, use your dryer, excess clothing, anything that you do not need.

Dori

You don't need to throw the bedding away. It would help if someone would take the bedding off the beds, but what you'd want to do is take the bedding and any other anything else that can be washed and just put it through the wash and dry it on high heat.

Mike

Of course, because they will nest in baseboards, wall outlets, they'll nest in bed frames, they'll nest in and around box springs. And even though you have those encasements on the mattresses, they could still nest on top or on the side of the encasement.

Dori

There are certain items like aerosol cans, any kind of combustible items definitely need to be taken out of the trailer. Okay. Aerosol cans, fire extinguishers, oxygen tanks, lighters, vapes, propane tanks, anything like that, and can just be set right outside. You know, I mean, our technician does not leave all day long. They can't stay in the trailer doing the treatment.

Dori

Many people feel that way and are saying that and are dealing with bedbugs right now because any place can be the wrong place at the wrong time. So you can go anywhere. You don't have to travel.

Because what happens is. When we come out and treat, a lot of the times what happens is, is, you know, after the guarantee, like six months later, they're being they're being brought back in somehow. So somehow, some way the bedbugs are being brought back in on some clothing. She's either bringing them back in from someone else or.

Chase

Going to share with you I just sent you some information on us so you have us at your fingertips and I'm sharing a bed bug picture with you so you can see the life cycle of the male bed bug in the top row from egg to adult and the life cycle of the female bed bug from egg to adult the adults

Dori

With that being said, instead of moving everything onto your back porch or into your shed or whatever, if they are small items, your oven and your dishwasher are heat resistant. So with small items through the home that you're worried about, you can store them in your oven or your dishwasher. Just please don't forget you put stuff in there, okay, before you go turning it on.

Dori

It did feed on you. Okay. So this is the first one you've seen. Did you have a reaction to the bite? Have you gotten any bites that you know of?

Dori

We make sure that your air conditioning is off. Now, what you do if you do come home. home that evening, it's going to still be hot.

Dori

Adults are about the size of an apple seed. Okay, the eggs and the babies when they come out of those eggs are about the size of a head of a straight pin.

Dori

Oftentimes when a bed bug will bite you, it will leave a... like a specific pattern of bites. It's not a hard and fast rule, but generally speaking, though, when they bite you, the pattern of bites will be like in threes, and they'll either look like a triangle or a zigzag. Do any of the bites resemble that, a triangle or a zigzag?

Mike

They're just so easy to get anymore. I mean, you can go to the doctor's office, you can go to the movie theater, the restaurant, you can take public transit, and it's just being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Dori

I'm making up a bit hope you determine whether you're dealing with bedbugs or another type of insect. And so are you getting bitten? Are you kind of going off a bite alone? Are you seeing signs in the home?

If they're so the washer dryer is not in the unit, it's like they're in the park somewhere.

Julie

That way you may be having to go to work, but you'll still be in the area. Your dog could stay in the kennel.
