At BBE, we are here to help you resolve any bed bug problems you happen to have. Our team brings the necessary experience, techniques, and tools required for full removal.

Ever since MetroWest was developed, it has retained its reputation for being exceptionally clean. In fact, the area has won awards for being such a beautiful and friendly place to live. But wait, if bed bugs in MetroWest are such a common problem, why do we have so many bed bugs here?

The fact is that bed bugs are not drawn by conditioning. They do not care if your property is pristine or dirty. They are here for one thing: blood to sustain themselves and their colonies. As such, you must understand that bed bugs in MetroWest are not a sign of MetroWest losing its rep for cleanliness. In fact, it is only a side issue: bed bugs are drawn to MetroWest regardless of the conditions that they find.

We provide the best treatment for bed bugs in the area, making sure you can eradicate the issue and get freedom for a minimum period of 60 days. Does this sound like the help you need? Then call us for an inspection!

Why we run both, on every job

Heat

Reaches into mattress seams, bed frames and wall voids a spray cannot. Kills every stage, eggs included.

Residual

Keeps working for weeks after we leave, so anything that survives or arrives later does not restart the problem.

One visit

Bed bugs die at 118°F held about 90 minutes; 122°F kills almost instantly. We hold lethal temperature throughout the home.

Asked on a call from MetroWest

March 2026

Every question below was asked by a real caller on a recorded call, and every answer is what one of our crew said back on the phone, word for word. We give the caller's first name, or their postcode where we do not have one, and never their surname, address or phone number.

What I guess I'm asking is if you come out and you do a check and you don't find them elsewhere in the house, that we would just have the bedroom and what would be the cost of that?

We have to treat the whole house. The reason for that is because if you have them in one room, you most likely have them in other rooms as well. Even though you can't see them, this is how they spread around.

Answered by Mike on a call,

$2,000 square feet and 13 sprinklers, right?

I'm sorry. Hold on. 2,000 square feet. Okay. I'm sorry. Let me, that's my bad. Let me fix that. I was facing that off of 1,000 square feet. Okay.

Answered by Mike on a call,

How's dirt getting under the pillowcase?

That is just strange. Okay, send those pictures to me if you would, please. And if it flicks off, if it does that stuff brush off and it doesn't stain.

Answered by Dori on a call,

I'm going to have to try to call it three or four hours, huh?

We can do that on the day of service and that can be the first thing that they do but you'd have to just kind of sit around outside until it's time to go back in

Answered on a call,

Are you talking about this coming Friday?

This coming Friday. I know I can't believe we're already getting into July already.

Answered by Dori on a call,

What's the balance owed?

What are we talking about?

Answered by Dori on a call,

In our own words

20 from recorded calls

This is our own crew, on recorded calls about jobs in MetroWest and nearby. Word for word. Each one says who was talking and when.

Paid for the heat treatment. Chuck is our client. Chuck is our client. Chuck is the one that paid for the heat treatment. I am not going to discuss pricing with you. He is fully satisfied with what we did. We did not charge him extra for prep. We did not charge him extra for prep.

Dori

We just want to be sure before we talk about treating your house that this is definitely a bed bug situation because we have treated people that swore they had bed bugs and then it didn't work because they didn't have bed bugs. There's not going to be something else or so we just want to that's I'm just trying to verify real quick.

Julie

As I explained to you, but I know it was a while ago, we do a heat and spray treatment. We start at like 8 a.m. in the morning and we have you back. about dinner time, okay? So it is an all-day treatment. You and Darren would have to be out of the house all day. We spray each room first, each closet. We spray very carefully underneath and inside furniture and then we do our heat treatment. We raise the temperature up.

Dori

I'm thinking those should just be thrown away. You can get her another pair of shoes like that. That's a whole heck of a lot cheaper than doing another heat treatment. If those shoes have not walked through the house, okay, and she wears them like every day when you guys go out and leave, then...

Dori

Usually bedbugs when they bite because they're crossing over the mattress, they'll bite on the skin that's closest to. Um, the mattress. Okay. So usually if you sleep on your back, you'd get bites on your back. If you sleep on your stomach, you're getting bites on your stomach or your front side, you know.

We run holes from the back of the trailer into your home and distribute heaters and fans into your home. um raising the temperatures high to 140 degrees um so the reason being is because it's a scientific fact that once the temperatures reach above 122 degrees uh all bed bugs and babies eggs those all die so you can just imagine like at 140 degrees like That heat penetrates through your vents, your walls, your mattresses, your drawers. It's everywhere.

Charles

We have to back up our trailer. The trailer is the heat assault system, and we back that up.

Dori

This one is, okay, so we do the heat, which is what you were asking about. We'll come in and spray. We've got the special heaters, special equipment that's designed to do this, and we'll set up heaters and fans in your unit, heat it up for the day, and you'll have to be gone for the day while we do it. Probably leave about 9 a.m. 8 or 9 a.m.

Julie

One of my main concerns questions, and we are here for you. Let me just reiterate, we are here. We stand by our treatment and we will, you know, take care of it. When Chase came back out for the respray, he did not see any evidence of new bedbugs.

Julie

The technician will let me know if it's bed bug positive or not, and then if so, I'll follow back up with you, and then we can discuss like the treatment options, okay? But let's cross our fingers that it's not bed bugs.

Mike

We would still have to have permission to be on premises. So we still want to reach out to manage. But yes, yes, we certainly can use the heat cannon if we can't secure parking. That's not a problem. That's why I was going over both options with John and I, you know, shared the information exactly the size of the appliance.

I understand you spent a few nights in a hotel, and if you've been back there since 8 a.m., I would have...

Dori

The only pictures you really need to worry about, if they're hung up on nails, they're perfectly fine to stay on the wall. If you use that double-sided tape, those command strips, the 3M, I think.

Dori

This is the number that I called you on, so that is the correct number. So if you just say our number under BBE or Bed Bug Exterminator, then you have it.

Dori

It's just being at the wrong place at the wrong time. They cling on to clothing, shoes, bags. And bedbugs are bad right now in the United States. We almost had them eradicated three decades ago. They are back in force the last 12 to 15 years.

Dori

They would be like in groups of, well, not always, but sometimes they're in groups of three, and they would be just about anywhere on your body. But were you even getting bit before, like the first time around before we came to treat? Did either of you have bites? From bed bugs?

Julie

Any kind of medication, we suggest you put those in the fridge for the heat treatment, any kind of freestanding candles, things like that which could melt. Good idea to place them in your dishwasher. or your oven, which are both heat resistant. So take a look at the list. I'm going to send you a pre-treatment checklist here. And if you have anything that is on that list, you may want to move it out of the heat treatment area. VHS cassette tapes, we suggest moving out of the way, but DVDs are fine.

Dori

Keep that info on hand anyways. You just never know, you know, or if somebody else, absolutely, if somebody else is needing some kind of assistance. And I think they help out or at least guide people to home health care. and assisted living, I mean, anything and everything. They do a lot.

Dori

I do suggest going to maybe urgent care or a dermatologist to find out what those marks are. Now, I do want you to stay vigilant because if you are having problems with bed bugs, we are going to come back out, okay?

Dori

Nobody's in that apartment for a while or sadly maybe get sick and end up in the hospital. Okay. So where that home is vacant for a week, two weeks, if they're close enough to your wall and you're close enough on the other side, they are going to pick up on the carbon dioxide that you emit. As you breathe, that's how they find us, just like mosquitoes, okay? While we're sitting still, it builds up around us like an all-you-can-eat big old bed bug buffet sign, okay?
