That will include both. That's our combined treatment. We do first we come in with a pesticide spray, we do that and then we do the heat treatment as well, which is the part that really kills all the bedbugs in your property and their eggs so that way you cannot get a reinfestation. The only way a reinfestation can happen at that point is, you know.
Answered by Mike on a call,
Let me, give me just one second. Now, we can get you done early this week. I'm just trying to figure out what would be the earliest.
Answered by Dori on a call,
I'm sorry. I'm not the owner, and I don't work in the office, so I don't know where. if they're in the office today or what their availability is.
Answered by Mike on a call,
We are here until 7 p.m. at night and then we log back onto the phones at 8 a.m. in the morning.
Answered on a call,
You don't need to do anything. I'll take care of all of it. All right.
Answered by Dori on a call,
Actually, no, because even if they're in the car, what's going to happen is bed bugs like to be where the food source is, which is going to be a human and a sedentary state. So they're not like normal insects that come from outside. They will try to migrate to a food source. They're brought in more through like clothing. They're hitchhikers by nature, basically. So they hitchhike on clothing items, purses, things like that. Most commonly people get them from like doctor's offices and things, you know, where you least expect. But with that being said, they will be close to a food source because what they do is they will... wait till somebody's in a sedative state and they sense the CO2, the additional CO2 that they emit when they are in a sedative state and that's how they know to come and feed. They feed every three to five days and they'll nest very close to a human food source. So that's why they're most typically found in like mattresses, of course in the bedroom she sleeps in, couches, recliners, kind of where people hang out and sleep are where they're going to be. nesting.
Answered on a call,
This is our own crew, on recorded calls about jobs in Lee County and nearby. Word for word. Each one says who was talking and when.
I talked to the technician who did your heat treatments. And he said he searched your mattress and he did not find any evidence of bedbugs anywhere on the mattress.
Our inspections are $200. So if we come out because you just don't know what the heck you're dealing with and inspect for you if found negative for bedbugs, it's just that $200 fee, of course, that you've already paid.
I'm not trying to get sales right now. We are busy seven days a week. Bedbugs are bad. in the United States so just trying to help you get rid of them okay if it is bed bugs heat is going to be the only thing that kills the bed bugs and the eggs you could get a cheaper spray and you could live with them for months Okay. But if you want to try and handle it yourself, your best weapons are your vacuum cleaner and your dryer.
With the heat, this equipment is designed just to do this and once the eggs and the bugs, once they reach 122 degrees. They die after 19 minutes exposure to that heat. So we go a little bit further than that so that the heat is going to find them wherever they are hiding inside the mattress, behind a nightstand. You're going to have multiple nests somewhere because it's been going on for a while. So the heat's just going to stop them in their tracks. They can't outrun it.
We spray the garage for you. We don't heat treat the garage. It's kind of like when your mom used to yell at you, close the front door. You're trying to air condition the outside. Kind of the same thing with the heat. So, you know, and Right. enclosed porches as well. So we will spray really well. So if you do have like an enclosed porch or even an open patio porch and you have furniture out there, we will spray the furniture as well.
I know, I know. Now, have you done a really good, slow, thorough vacuuming when everything's in the wash? And I'm talking vacuuming all sides of your mattress, headboard, box springs, bed frame.
We do an all-day treatment depending on if we're already in the area because we do all of Florida. If we are already in the area, we start at 8 a.m. We need all people and pets out of the home for the day and we have you back home by 8 p.m. Our base price is $2,000.
We also have a portable unit, too, called the heat hammer we could use as well. It is just as effective. Are there, what floor level is the apartment home on, if you don't mind me asking?
There is that one type of bed, I think it's a sleep number bed that has the bladder inside. If it doesn't, if it's just a box spring, it should be just fine.
I get it absolutely whatever you can, but I would not spray. Okay, do not spray anything because that will spread your problem. You just can't get the strength that we can get. And when you take a can and spray, you may kill a couple that are on the surface, but most of them are not going to be on the surface. So it's not going to reach them. Definitely not going to kill the eggs. That is why our spray is the icing on our cake. The cake is the heat treatment. And you definitely need cake. Okay.
Not like we could see what we were doing because we show up in an unmarked truck and an unmarked trailer, so it looks like we're drying out water damage or steam cleaning your carpet.
If someone is getting bit by a bed bug and they happen to move that bug can easily become dislodged and they're not industrious enough to go okay where was I and then go right back and finish that pattern.
If it's bedbugs and there's people there, they're not going to feed on the dog. They're not going to feed on your pets.
I haven't heard any cases on your scalp, but they'll bite on your face anywhere accessible, definitely. I don't think they will go through your hair and bite you, but definitely on the flat surface skin without hair?
You could have snacked in bed. It could be poppy seeds. Who knows? It could be pepper flakes. So take those pictures. Keep an eye out. I'll get with them so that way if it comes to you needing treatment, we will already have that set aside. We'll already know the price and everything. But let's try and figure out if it is bed bugs or not.
Absolutely. All you have to do is make sure the linens are off the bed. You just throw them in the wash before he gets there and that way you can put fresh sheets on, you know, once you get back home. So let me get with them. I'm going to pass these pictures on.
We do our best with what we can with bites. It's the other evidence that you can find in your home. So again, you know, once we get off the phone, send me the pictures that you can, take your cell phone and turn that flashlight on your cell phone and kind of look around your headboard.
Absolutely, yes, we should do the whole building. What's going to happen is if we start running the heat into one room, they're just going to, like you and us, you and I, like if we're... We're exposed to high temperatures. We're going to run from it. And that's what the bed bug will do too. So if you, you know, sometimes there can be like a really, really good firewall between the two adjacent apartments, but most of the times they're not suitable.
Maria, thanks for calling Bed Bug Exterminator. Yeah, we can certainly help you with that. You said your daughter, now she... Is she getting any bites while she's sleeping?
What we usually try and do, because we do have the all day treatment, what we usually try and do is do those in the evenings if we're in the area to begin with. I don't see anything for the next few days in the area. Now that could change today. I could book four Naples appointments today, you know. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to let Chase and the rest of the technicians, our owners, know. know that you are getting bit and then give me today to figure out where we can get you taken care of for a respray.
The problem with bed bugs is that they are some of the hardiest pests around. They can survive in high heat and humid conditions, which is why heat has to be held for as long as it is. They move through the smallest cracks and crevices and stick easily to furniture, luggage, and clothing. Given they are so small, we do not notice them until they are legion.
If you want to get rid of bed bugs in Lee County, you must pay close attention to where they appear. In a household, they could have been brought in by a visitor, by yourself when staying elsewhere, or made their way in through a connected property.
Bed bugs get around with consummate ease and breed at a dizzying rate, so a small collection can soon become an infestation occupying many or all of your rooms. For business owners, a guest could have brought them in, or a delivery shipment, or new furniture.
We often assume that bed bugs only stick to beds or old, smelly furniture. Bed bugs do not care whether furniture, bedding, or properties are clean or dirty. They are here for one thing only — blood. They are just as easily found in an immaculate five-star hotel as in an old, second-hand bed.
