I can ask the technician if he'll do that first and that way it starts drying automatically. So usually they do it after they get the heat treatment started inside. That's after they spray inside, then they set up the heat assault equipment, and then they get that started, and then they spray the vehicle. But I will ask him if he can spray that first, okay?
Answered by Dori on a call,
Watercolor photographs are fine. Oil paintings we've never had a problem with, but we do have them on the list just because some people. have really expensive ones. So if you spend a lot of money on it and you have an attachment to it, we suggest you put that in your garage or the back porch for the day of treatment.
Answered by Dori on a call,
When I see it, I can just respond and let you know that I got it. So I'm busy on the phones and in our CRM for the most part, but I do try and check the email a handful of times during the day.
Answered by Dori on a call,
I might have, let me see, I'm going to reach out to someone that might be able to give me.
Answered by Dori on a call,
That's exactly what I was thinking. You can send the pictures here. I'm going to send that over.
Answered on a call,
Based on the image, I can confirm that it is a bed bug, but our technicians also see these images and so they can, you know, chime in and let me know just for sure. Now, if you have any other pictures that are maybe closer up. That would also help us make sure and determine that it is indeed a bed bug. And if you have any areas on you where you've been bitten, those bites are usually going to be in groups of three, maybe on your ankles or your neck. If you have any images like that, you can also text them here. That would just help us confirm.
Answered on a call,
This is our own crew, on recorded calls about jobs in Charlotte County and nearby. Word for word. Each one says who was talking and when.
He will be doing a heat treatment down in Bradenton and then before he leaves Bradenton, he can stop and do the inspection at your home.
More importantly, what we do is we bring, it's a commercially built piece of equipment. It's a trailer. It's called a heat assault. And heat is what is used primarily to destroy the bed bugs and their eggs. Now, this trailer, it's an unmarked black trailer. It's very discreet, so neighbors won't know anything other than maybe they're cleaning carpets or something. This trailer pumps out about 600,000 BTUs of thermal energy, and it will bring the temperature of your house up to about 140 degrees very rapidly.
A charge around the same price. They'll just do it periodically. And the reason being is because they only offer spray treatments and a lot of these spray treatments is periodic. So they'll come out and spray once one week and then once another week. And with our heat treatment, we actually do a combination of heat and spray. So let's spray the perimeter of the inside of your house and then we'll come in with our heat assault truck and we'll do this all in one day.
Explain to them because you might not have to pay anything, you know, legal wise to. kind of force the landlord to take care of you properly, okay? When you're dealing with bedbugs, you need a heat treatment, okay? Sprays will not work, as you can attest. Sprays will kill the ones that are on the surface, okay? The ones that are not on the surface are going to keep breathing. The eggs that they've already started to keep hatching.
Absolutely. And with no floor clutter, you know, and then all the clothes laundered, hung up in the closets, folded up in the dressers, that's your best chance of getting the most effective treatment. So just make sure people aren't picking up the floor clutter and putting it on chairs, couches, beds, recliners. Okay.
We distribute fans and heaters around the interior of our house. And then we'll start the heat treatment.
Big proponent. Right, right. But what happens when you spray, when you put powders down, the bed bugs, just like you or me, they sense the danger. Okay. And what do we do when we sense danger? We move away from it. So that could mean that the bedbugs are going deeper into a mattress, deeper into upholstered furniture, or deeper into your walls because they do nest in the baseboards and the wall outlets, things like that, okay?
All right. So I am waiting to hear back from the guys, but at least we have this set up. So I'll tell you a little bit about what we do in case you do need to go for treatment. We handle a lot of Airbnbs. Okay. We handle a lot of everything. We've been in business the last five years. We're family owned. We are fully licensed and insured and we use the latest state-of-the-art technology. in our heat system.
During the treatment, once the treatment starts, the bedbugs start to get active. They don't like it. They know they're about to die, and they start to move around. They come out of their hiding places.
At 140 degrees the heat penetrates through your vents your walls your mattresses everywhere so No, that's why that Yeah.
I'll actually send you, if you're okay with it, I can text you over the checklist so that you have that as well and know exactly what is needed for prep.
Ma'am. We are bed bug exterminators. So all we do is focus on the elimination of bed bugs. We're not a general pest control company.
Just keep us in mind for any of your other properties. We do all of Florida except for the panhandle and the keys. So we have technicians going everywhere and we do a lot of Airbnbs.
If we start at 9 a.m., our technician is usually wrapping up. up late afternoon, okay? Now, getting the hoses up and down and getting set up with a fifth floor apartment would probably take a little longer, but to actually do your apartment, because I'm guessing it's under, what, 1,200 square feet?
We start at 9 a.m. We promise because you're in Riverview, we promise to have you back no later than 8 p.m. It's usually about dinner time we have you home.
Super city. I thought I kind of knew all Florida cities, but I guess not. So and I work out of Tampa Bay and our main location. And then we have a location in Winter Garden. And from those two locations, we do all of Florida except for the panhandle and the keys. So we have our technicians going everywhere.
I have an alternate location where you can send the pictures if they did go through because I didn't get them. If you can send those to our email, it's info at bedbugexterminator.org.
That's totally fine. Then you don't have to stress and you can take your time and you can get some help from your roommates or the guys in the home. So they will need to run those clothes through the dryer, put them in a bag. If they can put them away, just put them away. If they can, you know, but I don't know what they have, if they have a dresser, if they have a closet, you know.
I totally forgot what I was going to say. I'm so sorry. Okay. At this time, speaking with the technicians, with it now being July 20th. A respray may not work, okay?
You can go anywhere right now and it's either wrong place and the wrong time and you sit down in an area that's a high risk area or an area where someone recently sat down that is dealing with bed bugs and these people just don't realize that they hitchhiked into your home as easily as they hitchhiked out of your home and go with you everywhere you go.
The problem with bed bugs is that they are some of the hardiest pests around. They can survive in high heat and humid conditions, which is why heat has to be held for as long as it is. They move through the smallest cracks and crevices and stick easily to furniture, luggage, and clothing. Given they are so small, we do not notice them until they are legion.
If you want to get rid of bed bugs in Charlotte County, you must pay close attention to where they appear. In a household, they could have been brought in by a visitor, by yourself when staying elsewhere, or made their way in through a connected property.
Bed bugs get around with consummate ease and breed at a dizzying rate, so a small collection can soon become an infestation occupying many or all of your rooms. For business owners, a guest could have brought them in, or a delivery shipment, or new furniture.
We often assume that bed bugs only stick to beds or old, smelly furniture. Bed bugs do not care whether furniture, bedding, or properties are clean or dirty. They are here for one thing only — blood. They are just as easily found in an immaculate five-star hotel as in an old, second-hand bed.
