Are going to take whatever they're wearing when they leave,

They have to do that. And then what are they bringing with them? They should not bring a backpack full of bed bugs with them.

Are they nocturnal?

Not no no they do not only bite at night most of the time they are nocturnal But we find in houses that are heavily infested or houses that, well, heavily infested because they'll be all over the houses if somebody comes over during the day. To visit maybe somebody elderly that stays more in their beds or not able to get up and move around and stuff. These people come over and visit home health care workers, what have you, sit down on the furniture and all of a sudden they're getting attacked.

Did she say $1,500?

It's about a 10 to 12 hour process. But typically, typically the heating portion is about five hours. Two hours of it is us setting up. And then about an hour of it is us tearing down. And then you have about a two-hour cool-down period at the end of when we're finished. So that kind of gives you your 10 to 12 hours. I would say usually for your size place, it's probably going to be more on the 10 hours side. So yeah, typically 10 hours, we're there all day. We go in and out, we check, we make sure we don't, you know, set up shop and then leave. We like to. So we like to make sure that everything's going according to plan, you know.

What you guys see usually goes in and will spray 114 first and then he'll get the treatment set up and started and then he'll probably want to spray 113 and 115 and the one common area that's in that building and the other common area that's in the adjacent building.

Then call us or, you know, call somebody. I would say you definitely need heat treatments when you're dealing with bed bugs. Sprays will only kill the ones that are on the surface and they are not all on the surface at the same time. They hide until they're hungry. So sprays just won't reach them. Okay. So I'm hoping you fix your own problem with the vacuuming the dryer.

About cleaning dishes or anything like that. Our spray is very deliberate where we put it. We have a long wand that has a direct stream of spray. So there's no overspray. When we spray it on the baseboards, that's exactly where it goes.

What we do, we start at 8 a.m. in the morning. We raise, well, we answer any questions, you know, our tech will talk to you and answer any questions that you have about the treatment. When we arrive, we show up in an unmarked truck and an unmarked trailer. It does have our BBE logo and our license number and phone number, but it doesn't say bed bug anywhere. Our shirts don't say bed bug anywhere, so neighbors will not know what's going on unless you tell them. Okay?

He sent me a message. I was on a phone call, so I just got off the phone call and reached out to you. He said, not sure if you had the wrong address. There are three cars blocking parking in their driveway. It's a small, 1,200-ish square foot house, and the code isn't opening the door, and no one is answering.

We start at 10 a.m., your home right about 8 p.m., okay? So it just depends on how many jobs I have down in that area. I always try and book them around the same time so we just have our technician stay in a hotel and then he does the 8 a.m. start time if it's a drive from St. Pete area or Winter Garden.

Come home. And they'll go straight into their room, they'll toss their bag on the bed, they'll drop their clothes to change out of their going out clothes into casual clothes, and the bedbugs will fall off in their vicinity on their side of the bed. So when the bedbugs get hungry, they feed every three to five days, they're not going to cross a perfectly good crisp. to get to Chris's husband.

That way they won't be in our technicians way and they will not work. So that way you can just put them right back on after treatment.

You said I listened to the original recording. I mean, you said that you had dealt with bedbugs before, and just by you saying that, I was confident that you knew what you were talking about.

I think it needs your some kind of a roach nymph, you know, and it's easy to do. You could bring a bag in from somewhere, you know, roaches crawl into bags, things like that. You don't need to have them in your house to actually bring one in, kind of like bed bugs. Bed bugs cling on to clothing and stuff and they hitchhike their way in. They're opportunistic bugs.

I get that. We get that a lot. And it's tough for the children, the adult children or the adult grandkids to kind of get.

I just want to, you know, warn you about that too. A lot of people have gone like a few months down the road and they're like, oh my God, I'm seeing dead bedbugs. Okay. What have you been doing lately? Well, I was redoing my living room and deep cleaning and there you go. You were moving stuff around. So the bedbugs that actually died in the furniture, now that you've moved it around, are sitting out onto the floor.

They come out, they feed, and then that one disappears for three to five days until they digest the blood and then they're coming right back out. During that time, though, they're laying eggs. One adult female bed bug, all she has to do is breed once and she's laying five eggs a day every single day for a few weeks before she has to breed again.
