We are Bed Bug Exterminator and Bed Bugs is all we do. Um, I, any other pest control company can help you. That's a general pest control company. But it would be expensive for them to come out and probably just remove one rat. I would say, you know, try your best to just scoop it up in a dustpan or something and dump it.

It's about a 10 to 12 hour process. But typically, typically the heating portion is about five hours. Two hours of it is us setting up. And then about an hour of it is us tearing down. And then you have about a two-hour cool-down period at the end of when we're finished. So that kind of gives you your 10 to 12 hours. I would say usually for your size place, it's probably going to be more on the 10 hours side. So yeah, typically 10 hours, we're there all day. We go in and out, we check, we make sure we don't, you know, set up shop and then leave. We like to. So we like to make sure that everything's going according to plan, you know.

Doesn't need to be vacant for a week, but we do need about 10 to 12 hours because what we do is we have a combined treatment where we will spray the pesticide chemical spray around the interior perimeter of the home.
I suggest is use your high heat dryer for any clothing and bedding and blankets and pillows and things. And then if you can, vacuum as often as you can and throw that vacuum dirt immediately into an outdoor trash can. That'll help make you feel more comfortable in your home and that will help keep the population down a little bit, okay?

Not after you, no, no. And then actually, if your clothes are clean, you don't need to wash them at all. Just put them in a high heat dryer for at least 40 minutes. That'll kill any bed bugs or eggs that are on them.
I know they're just terrible. And then let me see. With the protective barrier spray that we leave, it lasts for actually six months. It starts dissipating close to that two-month mark. In June a family who had only moved to Gulfport in March called us after finding bed bugs and eggs in, of all places, a crib mattress. The house was about 1,250 square feet, and the bugs had likely been there before the boxes were even unpacked. Our crew confirmed the infestation, heated the whole home in a single visit, and walked the family through which bins of clothes and blankets needed to run through the dryer — and which did not need to be carted out to the garage at all.
The job we think about most is a house that flooded in the hurricane. We first heated it in October of 2024 — a twelve-hour day, roughly eight in the morning until eight at night, with Chase Matthews on the equipment and John Wieber working out fair terms for a family that had just lost nearly everything — then came back that winter for a follow-up spray. When bed bugs turned up again in March of 2026, in the new furniture bought after the flood, they called us and nobody else: this time the house, the backyard studio, and even the car got treated.
In August 2025 we treated an 800 square foot single-family home where the bed bugs had settled into a black sectional couch. The owner wondered aloud whether she should simply throw it away. Our technician opened the sectional up, separated the pieces, flipped them onto their backs, and went through every seam with five heaters running; the house heated up very well, and the couch did not need to be thrown out.
Some of the other entries in the Gulfport log, briefly. A 1,000 square foot home treated in mid-October 2024 for an owner who spends much of the year in Canada — we worked by lockbox, pulled the blinds tight as he asked, set the thermostat to 77 when we left, and wrote the treatment temperature and duration on his receipt because he wanted the paper trail. A 1,600 square foot home in late June 2025. A third-floor, 1,200 square foot condominium in December 2025, where the association needed secure trailer parking, an 8:30 start, and a letter after treatment — all arranged. And in December 2025, a 700 square foot half of a duplex, where the owner first had to find somewhere for her six animals to spend the day. That duplex is also the honest entry on this list: she called back in January still seeing bugs in two rooms, and we scheduled a respray under the guarantee rather than argue about it. Heat does the heavy lifting in one visit, but the follow-through is what actually finishes a job, and we would rather come back than leave one half-done.
The quotes that did not turn into jobs tell you as much as the ones that did. Two Gulfport-area inspections in the past year came back negative: just before Christmas 2025, Chase inspected a home where a couple had been getting bites for weeks and found no bed bugs at all, and in February 2026 he inspected another and found carpet beetles — a nuisance, certainly, but not a bed bug problem, and not a job we were going to sell somebody. We put both findings in writing and walked away. If an inspection says you do not have bed bugs, that is exactly what we will tell you.
